The Fernie Film Festival & the Red Tree Lodge are collaborating to bring forth a Still Photography Contest/Exhibition to underline the hidden talents of the area and to display the various passions of the mountain lifestyle lovers.

The exhibit will be displayed at the Red Tree Lodge, located 1101 7th Ave., Fernie, BC
From February 21st 2009 until August 2009.

The opening evening will be on Saturday 21st February 2009 at 6 p.m.

Winner of each categories will be disclosed on the evenings of February 27th and 28th during the Fernie Mountain Film Festival at the Fernie Community Centre at 7 p.m.

Photographs will be judged on the basis of composition, technique, content, originality, and effectiveness in conveying the theme by a jury for the Grand Winner Prize and there will also be a ‘’people choice’’ vote. People will be able to vote during the week prior to the Film Festival.
