Features: Our two night event highlights one feature each night. Our features are exceptional films that embody our mission statement. Length of features to be a minimum of 50 minutes to a maximum of 90 minutes.
Shorts: Each night we show a unique selection of short films and film ‘clips’. A wide range of topics are covered so that adventure sports, mountain cultures, and our environment are highlighted.
Length of shorts have no minimum and a maximum of 35 minutes. Films of a length of around 5-15 minutes are preferred. Films that are of value but are too long for the shorts and not chosen for the features may be asked to submit a ‘trailer’ or clip to be shown during the short film segment.
FMFF may screen your film if it has been screened elsewhere.
FMFF will accept submissions of films produced within the last 3 years
Rights clearance for music in your film is your responsibility, FMFF will not be held responsible for any inclusion of uncleared materials.
Films should be submitted on a single DVD and be compatible for with standard North American DVD players.
We do not have high definition projectors.
It is preferred that you send the DVD in NTSC format.

You may submit as many films as you like.
You will be contacted in early February if your film is selected for screening.
If your film is chosen for ‘Best of festival’ or ‘Best local film’ you can expect your prize within 6 weeks of screening.
