Introduced in 2010 to recognize long-time supporters of local mountain culture – trails, environmental stewardship, development and prowess in mountain sports, art and science.
Award Logistics One award annually. An individual or group of individuals can be nominated. An individual cannot nominate him/herself. Nominee is living now. Nomination deadline is Jan 15 of each year. Awards announced and presented at the Fernie Mountain Film Festival at the end of February.
Nomination Guidelines Nominees: have demonstrated a long-term commitment in their contribution to mountain life in the Elk Valley; includes people who contribute to mountain sport, mountain environment, mountain culture, mountain art and mountain science.

Despite February fast approaching, we've extended our 2012 Festival Film Submission Deadline for a couple of extra weeks as we know there are more great films a coming.
